You are in the middle of the nature of the biosphere reserve Nockberge at 1850m altitude in a perfect location on a quiet service road. Due to the hillside location you enjoy an unobstructed view of the surrounding mountain peaks and in just a few minutes walk you can reach all the highlights, e.g. the Falkertsee, the Heidialm mountain resort, the ski lifts, climbing and hiking opportunities, cross-country skiing trails, toboggan runs, via ferratas and best of all: everything can be reached absolutely car-free.
How to arrive
The address is Falkertsee 191, 9564 Patergassen. Coming from Germany, drive towards Salzburg, then take the A10 towards Villach to exit at Millstätter See. Then take the road via Radenthein in the direction of Bad Kleinkirchheim to Patergassen, where you take the driveway to the Falkert (Heidialm). You follow the road for 7km uphill until you turn right into the exit towards "Kärntnerhaus". Directly after the Kärntnerhaus a left turn leads uphill; after about 200m you will find the Heidi Chalet on the left side. The country road over the Turracher Höhe is only recommended for pleasure and motorcycle rides. The nearest train station is Spittal-Millstätter See.
