The municipality of Artá had in 2009 a population of 7411 registered residents on an area of 139.63 km, Artá is located in the northeast of the island of Mallorca, 60 km from the island capital Palma.

The municipality is located on the western part of the Artá peninsula, bordering the Bay of Alcúdia (Badia d'Alcúdia) to the west and the open Mediterranean Sea opposite the neighbouring island of Menorca to the north. Special mention should be made here of the beach and dune formation of Sa Canova d'Artá, the high rocky inlets of Cap de Ferrutx and finally a whole series of small coves stretching from S'Arenalet des Verger to Cala Torta!

Cancellation policy

If the tenant cancels the contract before the start of the rental period without naming a new tenant who will enter into the contract under the same conditions and if it is not possible to rent the property to another tenant, the deposit will be retained and the following pro rata rents will be payable as compensation:

In case of cancellation
- up to 90 days before the start of the rental period: 30 % of the rental price
- up to 60 days before the start of the rental period: 55 % of the rental price
- up to 30 days before the start of the rental period: 75 % of the rental price
- from 29 days before the start of the rental period: 100 % of the rental price
- In case of non-arrival without notice: 100 % of the rental price.

The landlord shall endeavour to let the rented property to other tenants.
The tenant may at any time prove a lesser loss on the part of the landlord.
If the tenant cancels the stay prematurely, he remains obliged to pay the full rental price.

Cancellation or termination can only be made in writing. The date of receipt of the declaration by the lessor is decisive. In case of cancellation before the start of the rental period, a handling fee of 100 € will be charged, which will be deducted from the deposit if applicable. We strongly recommend that you take out a travel cancellation insurance policy.
